Snorkeling


Monarch Sands Dive resort offers several excellent areas to snorkel. Equipment is free and package trips are available at front desk. A how to guide is located in the top drop down menu under ACTIVITIES.

Scuba Diving

Dive several dive sites in our area or learn to dive from our excellent PADI certified Master divers. Rates and packages are listed in the drop down menu at the top, under ACTIVITIES.

Kayaking

Enjoy the open water sport of Kayaking. Instructions and rates are located in the drop down menu at the top of page under ACTIVITIES

Horse Backriding

Enjoy a peaceful day of site seeing from atop a gentle horse. Especially bred for the climate and terrain. These sturdy animals will amaze you as they transverse the country side Rates and Schedules are located in the drop down menu at the top under ACTIVITIES

Enjoy our beautiful beach resort. Experience our crisp mornings and our fantastic sunsets. A multitude of activities await you. Below is some of our rental and activity fees;

Water Activities

  • Swimming: Free with the rental of our cottages. Day visitors are p100 per person, consumable. The area to the right of the resort in very sandy. More rocky to the left.
  • Snorkeling: Equipment is p50 per day for snorkeling. Available at the front desk. Package trips to local reserve are available at front desk for only p500 which includes free meal.
  • Kayak: Our kayak is available for rent.  P500 a day or p100 per hour.
  • Diving: We offer PADI courses for every level of diver. We specialize in 1st time divers. Our Discover Diving Package for beginners is p3,500 which includes lunch. Adventure dives to Apo Island and other local areas are available at the desk.
  • Fishing: Fish from the shore or from our pump boat. Reels, poles, and bait are available for rent at p100 per day. Pump boat rental in P800 per day or p500 for the half day.
  • Boogie boards Tubbing: Float on the waves with one of our inner tubes or boogie boards.  Rental is p25 per day.

Land Activities

  • Bird Watching: The local area is home to hundreds of species of birds. Tours available with professional guides to the Canaway Forest and the Montiquel Forest.  Conservation Tours begin at p1,500 per person.
  • Malatapay Market: Wednesday trip to the local market. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the once a week market in Malatapay. Transporataion to and from, plus lunch upon return. P500 per person.
  • Badmitten: Enjoy some exercise on the beach with a game of badmitten. Rackets and birdies available for rent at front desk. P50 per day.
  • Hiking: Strike out on your own or take one of our local guides. Guides are p200 per day, Backpack and water included.
  • Movies: 7:30 pm is movie time in our dining room. We play a variety of movies Sunday –Thursday nights. A large bowl of home made popcorn is only p25.
  • Music: Join us on Fridays and Saturday nights for live entertainment. As local musicians perform .
  • Games: Frisbees,Beach Balls, Swimming Rings are available for purchase at the desk. Games, cards and book also available at desk.
  • Horseback Riding : The small but sturdy Philippine horses are available to ride. Half day guided rides are only p800. A days notice is required.
